Jaya is a year 6 student from Gracemere State School and sometimes has issues with school attendance and was quite shy in his initial lessons.

Being part of the QVSA at CQ Bushfire Reduction course allowed Jaya to express his ideas and provided him an opportunity to showcase his understanding of coding and app development throughout his group’s Grand Challenge ideation phase and subsequent presentation.  Jaya never missed a single QVSA at CQ session in Round 2!

Over time Jaya’s confidence grew so much that he even shared ideas and suggestions on the megaphone with the entire cohort and was a key component of his team’s presentation.
