State school teachers and staff register an expression of interest for students from their school to access 2020 QVSA courses.
Please consider the following criteria when nominating students from your school:
- Highly capable students in Years 5–9
- High academic performance in STEM subjects and NAPLAN (U2B and A/B results in Maths/Science)
- Self-directed and motivated in STEM
- Indigenous students.
Your school will commit the following resources to the project:
- Facilitating student’s access to online for the times allocated (TBA).
- A room/area for the students to use that has the following for each student
- A computer connected to network (network cabling is preferred over wireless)
- Firefox as the preferred browser
- A webcam and a USB headset with a microphone
- iSee installed
- A staff member who will provide support to your students if needed.
- For some courses, additional software will need to be installed on computers.
- Covering any cost of course resources (advised prior to course enrolment).
